Where to stay in Jujuy: choose a base for your route

Where you stay determines how much of each day you spend travelling. Pick your visits first, then compare accommodation within a practical base.

Tren Solar in Tilcara, Jujuy

Match the base to the trip

For Quebrada villages, compare Tilcara, Purmamarca and Humahuaca against your chosen stops. For the city and Valleys, consider San Salvador. For Calilegua, look at a nearby base instead of repeated return trips from the Quebrada. There is no universally best town.

Compare more than the room rate

Check the exact address, the transfer from the bus terminal or station, evening meal options and the journey to your first outing. A lower room rate can lose its advantage once extra transfers are added. Confirm the total amount, currency, cancellation terms and inclusions with the provider.

When a second base helps

Changing accommodation makes sense when it removes a long repeated journey. It also takes time to pack, check out and settle in again. Fewer moves can work better for a short break; a second base can make a trip between regions more practical.

Before booking: exact location, return transport, total cost and cancellation terms.
